Spacetime

Spacetime

When all was nothing
And nothing, all,
Where did the spark come from?
Is that a valid question?
There was nothing, we are told.
How can we imagine
The primordial nothing
From which our entirety was
Spawned?

And what about the future?
All will be forever
But filled with nothing,
Every particle of energy burned,
Used up,
The spark, dwindled, to numberless
Blackholes
Which over eons
Will suck even themselves dry and cold.

Will any consciousness endure?
Suckling on the matter
Which the blackholes consume
Orbiting or piloting them?
Will data-based life forms endure
Beyond the heat-death?
Hidden in bubbles of reality?
Gestalt consciousnesses,
No physical presence
Hanging on and observing
Infinite
Everlasting
Cold
Nothing.

To what end?
